IOTen transformed the social messaging strategy for a nonprofit dedicated to preventing childhood drowning.

Founded by Karen and Brian Cohn after the drowning death of their 6-year-old son, Zachary, The ZAC Foundation turned a personal tragedy into a source of support and water-safety education for families throughout the United States. 10Ten laid out a comprehensive and ambitious content plan that included videos, motion graphics, quizzes, personal narratives and more.

Social Media

The ZAC Foundation needed messages that simultaneously engaged and educated, reflecting a mission to create a generational change in how water safety is viewed by parents and their children.

Video

An early finding was the need for caretakers to slow down, block out distractions, and mindfully watch children when they are in or around water. This insight led to a campaign built around this important message.

Quizzes

Teaching water safety is core to the Foundation’s mission. This led 10Ten to develop interactive quizzes that made information easy to access and retain.
